WHAT IS A CAREGIVER?
Caregivers offer valuable support when some of life’s most basic tasks become complicated. When a senior relative begins to struggle with everyday activities, it can do more than just make things difficult for them, it can rob them of their precious independence. Often, seniors will even try to hide their troubles from friends and loved ones so as not to burden them. In-home care is not a one-size fits all solution. Each client and their families have very personalized care needs.
We develop a plan of care that begins with a nurse assessment, gathering information from the client, family members and medical staff as needed. A Step Above Home Care will then pair a caregiver that will provide excellent care and develop a trusting relationship with the client. While many consider these services to be primarily for seniors, A Step Above Home Care works with clients from ages 30-99.

HOW MUCH DO YOUR SERVICES COST?Pricing is determined based on the number of hours in each clients individual care plan.

WHAT ARE SOME BENEFITS OF USING A HOMECARE AGENCY?Having an agency available to you allows you to use their resources and takes the stress off of your family. Tackling all of the challenges that can come along with aging such as coordinating care and chronic illness can take away from enjoying important family moments during hard times.

WILL I ALWAYS HAVE THE SAME CAREGIVER?We do our best to make care arrangements so that caregivers are able to have regular clients. We believe it is easier on the families and the staff when they have a consistent schedule and a caregiver they are familiar with. Because we prioritize the needs of our clients and ensure we take care of our staff as well we pride ourselves on high retention rates that make this possible.

DO YOU PROVIDE DEMENTIA CARE?Yes. We provide tailored care for those progressively losing their cognitive functions and abilities.

DOES MEDICARE COVER HOME CARE?No. Medicare does not cover non-medical home health services.

DO YOU ACCEPT LONG TERM CARE INSURANCE?Yes. We help clients navigate using their LTC insurance policies.

DO YOU ACCEPT STATE PROVIDED PAYMENTS?Yes. We are a state approved home health provider and can help clients navigate the process of transitioning agencies.
